Supervision
A dynamic, reflective space to strengthen practice, work through complexity and stay connected to the practitioner you want to be.
I provide clinical and professional supervision for practitioners, supervisors and experienced professionals working across social work, counselling, mental health, education, community services and related human service settings.
Sessions can provide a dedicated space to work through:
- complex practice and ethical issues
- professional judgement and decision-making
- challenging relationships, dynamics and organisational contexts
- the emotional impact of the work
- boundaries, role clarity and professional identity
- career development, transition and emerging leadership responsibilities
- sustaining practice over time
Supervision serves us well when it is regular and ongoing. I therefore recommend fortnightly or monthly sessions, with additional focused sessions available when needed — for example during periods of complexity or transition, for case consultation, or around a particular area of professional development.
I am an AASW Accredited Clinical Supervisor, with extensive training and experience in clinical and professional supervision. Over time, I have developed a supervision style that is dynamic, engaged and in-depth. I work actively with the personal–professional supervisory relationship, recognising that who we are, what we bring, and how we experience the work are all relevant to practice.
You can expect supervision to involve more than conversation. We may map ideas visually, use whiteboards, examine practice frameworks, work with theory and evidence, identify patterns, and develop reflective or practical tasks to carry between sessions. There will be curiosity, warmth and support, alongside challenge and rigour. I value open conversations, including those that ask us to sit with uncertainty, examine assumptions, or look more closely at something that may be difficult.
Supervision works best as an active partnership. I bring preparation, engagement and professional challenge to the work, and invite the same commitment to reflection, learning and development from the people I supervise.
If this work resonates with you, reach out and we can make a time to connect and explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
